We all know the scene with Rocky running up the stairs to “Gonna Fly Now” and the training montage with “Eye of the Tiger.” Now it may be time to learn some new songs. Rocky is now heading a little closer to a new arena: Broadway.
Running in previews now at the Winter Garden Theater in New York City, the show features a few theater veterans and twenty new original songs for the production. Don’t fret movie fans— Wikipedia notes that music from the movies are included as well. You may still have your chance to sing along to the two most popular Rocky songs as stated above.
The show’s trailer features various clips of the classic characters: Rocky, Adrian, and Apollo Creed. Will there be another string of Broadway shows featuring one of the world’s greatest underdogs? We’ll have to wait and find out. Check out the trailer below.
