Steven Hayes, one of two men convicted in the Cheshire, Connecticut, home invasion in 2007, was found unresponsive in his cell this morning according to the Department of Corrections.
Hayes was the only inmate in the cell when he was discovered. Sources say that medical personnel performed life-saving actions before rushing Hayes to the emergency room. He is reported to be in stable condition.
Hayes is one of two men who received the death sentence in the home invasion and triple-murder of Jennifer Hawke-Pettit and her daughters, Hayley and Michaela.
