Google wants to rule the world it seems. Even for April Fool’s Day, they’re staying well ahead of the game with an amazingly unique idea.

Pokemon do exist, people! (I knew it!)

Well, at least on Google’s one-day-only (fingers crossed, they’ll keep it going for more than just today) special Google map for Android and iOS devices.

Cleverly, the only way to play is to download Google Maps on your device if you don’t already have it; I see your angle here, Google…

Anyway, update the app first if you haven’t already, open it up, and tap the search bar. A light blue logo will appear and once you click on that, the map will take you over to Google HQ’s location in California. There, you’ll see a little house between the buildings–Google’s Pokemon Lab.

Start clicking away on those little Pokemon you see in the “wild” surrounding the campus, and even use Google’s Pokedex for more info.

There are 150 Pokemon scattered across the planet, and the more you find, the closer you get to being Google’s Pokemon Master–an official position at their HQ.

This is the closest we’re going to get to being Pokemon trainers, people, and this opportunity ends at 2 P.M. PST tomorrow.

Forget the pranks–we’ve gotta catch ’em all!

Keep Up With PopWrapped On The Web!
