Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Wesleyan University students (including the writer of this article, proud member of Wesleyan’s Class of 2018) will be excited to know that Buffy creator, and Wesleyan alum, Joss Whedon has released his new film, In Your Eyes, to the public via the world wide web.
In Your Eyes is a supernatural romance involving two people with a telepathic connection born in their childhood. The film was written and produced by Joss Whedon and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Whedon did to the film industry something akin to Beyoncé’s surprise album release in 2013: Whedon announced at the film festival that the film was both premiered and released on the internet in the same day. Whedon said, “This is exciting for us because it means we get to explore yet another new form of distribution and we get $5.”
The film can currently be rented for $5 from the movie’s website, InYourEyesMovie.com, where viewers can also catch a three minute preview. Unfortunately, the movie is not currently available for purchase.
