Looks like Karen will have to wait to get her vodka. NBC reports that there WILL NOT be a Will & Grace reunion.
Earlier today, reports broke out on several sites that the hit sitcom was working on a reunion special for NBC. Unfortunately for fans, these reports have since been shut down.
There is “no truth” to these rumors, NBC’s rep confirmed to Buzzfeed.com.
The show, centered around the friendship of a heterosexual woman, Grace Adler, and a gay man, Will Truman, ran from 1998 until 2006 and is considered one of the most successful television series with gay principal characters.
Eric McCormack, who played Will, hinted at his interest of a reunion. Though, not the one viewer’s would expect.
“I think we’d all reunite as actors to talk about it,” he then added that, “to actually play those characters again,” could potentially be a, “very dangerous rabbit hole.”
But don’t get too upset. There might be some hope.
The NBC rep added that “there are no talks right now” which means that we might see our favorite gay lawyer and friends sometime in the future. With all its success, there’s no doubt in my mind that if NBC did have a reunion, viewers would watch.
