Everyone knows the classic curse, an actor gets cast in their breakout role and then BAM, for the rest of their career they’re getting recognized for that role and typecast in that genre. It happened to William Shatner and George Takei and now Arthur Darvill is trying to stop it from happening to him.
Everyone knows Arthur as “Rory Williams” or “Rory Pond” from Matt Smith’s time as the Doctor on BBC’s Doctor Who. In the latest video from BBC Radio Arthur urges fans to get over his role as Rory and accept him as who he is, a legitimate actor, to the tune of the wildly popular “Let It Go” from Frozen. As you can see from the video, this is a topic Arthur is VERY passionate about!
