Last night on Glee, there was one great performance after another! Not to mention the special guest appearance from the iconic and ever-so-wonderful Shirley MacLaine. Why, when all of Rachel’s dreams had seemingly come true, was she getting ready to throw it all away? That does seem like a very Rachel thing to do. Not to mention a Klaine duet “Story of My Life,” and a Shirley MacLaine Darren Criss duet of “Piece of My Heart” to end all duets. What a fantastic start!

Where to begin! Last night on Glee’s “The Backup Plan,” there truly were several great performances. The episode had music from nearly every genre, from Janis Joplin, to One Direction, and a Lauryn Hill rap–the episode packed in some great music! While the performances were great, the shocking moment of the night was when Santana nicely (I know, strange) stepped in to save Rachel’s Funny Girl job. When Rachel got herself in a pickle by lying about being sick and then flying to L.A. for a big television audition, Santana came in to save the day! It was weirdly sweet, and quite refreshing. Let’s be honest, we secretly love it when Rachel and Santana get along!

While Rachel had some amazing performances in “Wake Me Up” and “The Rose,” the performance that was just too good not to have on repeat today was definitely “Doo Wop (That Thing)” performed by the amazing Mercedes and Santana. Please, if you haven’t watched their performance, then catch up with everyone else and watch it a few dozen times in a row. These two ladies definitely bring the swagger needed for this song, and left Gleeks wanting more from these two!

Now back to Rachel’s performance of “Wake Me Up,” how great was her version?! The way the musical geniuses behind Glee, Alex and Adam Anders, put the new spin on the song was chill-inducing! Did you catch last night’s episode of Glee? If you didn’t, I beg you to go watch it! The performances alone make it worth your while! Plus, you don’t want to miss a single moment of these next couple of episodes leading up to the season finale!

Next up is the episode written by the one and only Chris Colfer!
