Get Ready To “Love Somebody,” Maroon 5 Is Working On Their Fifth Album

We have some great and tremendous news for you, music lovers! Maroon 5 has revealed they are currently in the studio recording their fifth album. The band’s official twitter account posted a picture of the gorgeous and highly talented Adam Levine. The photo, which shows Levine with a cup of Joe while working in the studio, is captioned “Guess what were working on #albuM5.” We’re totally loving that hashtag!

The highly popular band told MTV their new album will have a new, darker sound compared to their previously released albums. They said their new album will sound similar to their first album, Songs About Jane.

“But at this point we do have all kinds of different songs and it is early.”

Maroon 5 also revealed they will have more collaborations on the album. Their last album, Overexposed, featured many diverse producers and artists, including Ryan Tedder from One Republic. Maybe we will see these producers and more on their new album!

Maroon 5 will be performing on the Today Show on September 1. Finger’s crossed they perform their new single!
