Teen Michael Dameski has won So You Think You Can Dance Australia…and walked away with $100,000 for his efforts!
Four dancers made it through to the finale, but Jay Johns and Renelle Jones were eliminated during the live telecast, leaving Dameski and Lauren Seymour. But the $100,000 perk isn’t the only prize up for grabs! Dameski also has a choice of a role with The Australian Ballet, master dance classes with Red Bull Flying Bach or a season of touring with Burn The Floor.
Yet despite all of its hype, the show is still taking a bad turn. When they added US choreographer Paula Abdul as one of the 4 judges, So You Think You Can Dance Australia began to fail to attract massive viewer numbers.
Abdul says she will return if Network Ten gives the show another chance.
“My favorite thing is to be around talent…absolutely I’d be back, without blinking an eye. This is a labor of love for me and I have fell in love with Australia and the Australian people.”
What do you think about Michael’s success? Abdul’s possible return? Let us know in the comments below!
