Tuesday night was the debut of Chris Colfer’s episode he wrote for Glee. With all of his NY Times Bestselling books, it’s safe to say that people were anything but concerned about his writing abilities. In fact, I’m pretty sure this was one of the most anticipated episodes for Gleeks since it was announced Colfer was the writer. Well, Chris pulled out all the stops, and not only did he write a prefect episode but he also incorporated hilarious moments, and some memorable performances.

From Santana becoming Rachel’s publicist, a hilarious one at that, to Sam and Artie attempting to train a new dog the episode was jammed full of excitement. That’s without mentioning the star studded guest star list! I mean, Billy Dee Williams, Tim Conway, and June Squibb talk about a guest list! This brings us to the theme of the episode, old people and puppies that was basically the common thread throughout the episode. Thanks to Santana Rachel started a charity for puppies properly names “Broadway Bitches.”

There were so many noteworthy performances on “Old Dogs New Tricks,” from the Artie and Sam duet of “Werewolves in London,” or “I Melt With You” to Kurt’s performances of “Lucky Star” and his duet with June Squibb of “Memory,” the episode just had such great music! That’s not mentioning their grand finale song of the episode, “Take Me Home Tonight,” which was a perfect exclamation point to the episode.

Did you catch the teasing promo for the Season 5 finale next week? On a scale of pretty excited to words don’t describe you excitement, where are you? Well if you need some convincing, Brittany’s back bitches (her words). Although there is that moment that Gleeks saw Blaine and Brittany in bed together, don’t freak yet! I’m sure there has got to be a good excuse for that! Make sure you get you Glee fix before the summer hiatus that’s quickly approaching. What was your favorite performance from last night? More importantly what has been your favorite of Season 5? Don’t forget, Glee airs on Tuesday at 8pm EST.
