At Fox’s TV Upfront in New York, the company announced that the much anticipated series, Gracepoint, will premiere this Fall on Thursdays at 9 PM.
Adapted from a British miniseries, Broadchurch, which was just picked up for a second season, Gracepoint, “follows the tragic death of a young boy, and the major police investigation and nationwide media frenzy that subsequently overtake a picturesque seaside town, where anyone is a suspect.”
Fox premiered a three minute long trailer showcasing the shows many stars, which include David Tennant (reprising his role from Broadchurch), Anna Gunn, Nick Nolte, Michael Pena, and Jacki Weaver.
Fans will notice that many of the shots, as well as the tone feels identical to the original Broadchurch, however, Kevin Reilly has said, “…Gracepoint will have a different ending than the original.”
Fall cannot arrive soon enough!
