Louis C.K. is known for his biting humour that can sometimes straddle the line between humour and insult but this week on his FX show Louie he wrote a monologue for guest star Sarah Baker (who plays Vanessa) full of everything every ‘fat girl’ has wanted to say to those jerk men out there.

“If you were standing over there, looking at us” she says, pointing right at us, sitting on our couches or maybe watching on our phones. “You know what you’d see?”
“What?”
“That we totally match. We’re actually a great couple together. And yet you would never date a girl like me.”
Some of what Sarah’s character says doesn’t just apply to all the women out there who are overweight but girls in general. We all want someone who doesn’t judge us for our exterior, who wants to be with us for who we are on the inside.
I want to say a huge BRAVO to Sarah Baker and Louis C.K. for delivering this scene to us! This is the kind of stuff we need to see on a more consistent basis on our television screens. Share this scene with all the girls in you life, and even with the guys who need a wake-up call. You won’t regret it.
