The first trailer for the posh drama The Riot Club has been released! Based on the award-winning West End play by Laura Wade, The Riot Club follows the journey of two male first year students, who find themselves striving to be part of ‘The Riot Club’ – a barely veiled representation of Oxford’s notorious Bullingdon Club, which counts Prime Minister David Cameron and Mayor of London Boris Johnson among its past members.
Directed by Lone Scherfig (An Eductation) and set at Oxford University (“where rich kids first taste power”),the story follows the course of one riotous evening gone bad for a bunch of young, spoilt-rotten students.
The cast includes Max Irons (The White Queen), Douglas Booth (Noah), Freddie Fox (Parade’s End), and The Hunger Games‘ Sam Claflin. Downton Abbey‘s Jessica Brown-Findlay will also star, alongside Holliday Grainger (Great Expectations) and Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer.
The Riot Club comes roaring into UK theaters on September 19th.
