It’s the last stop before the 2 night, finale spectacular!!
Ryan Seacrest welcomed us to the show with his brand new, adorable puppy named Georgia before jumping right into the hometown welcomes our final 3 got, and boy was it emotional.
We started off with the last woman standing, Jena Irene. Returning to her job as a server, watching her sing at just her keyboard and watching her reunite with her family. Ryan then surprised Jena with some pretty great finale news:
She’ll be performing with Paramore!!
Win or lose, Jena is going to have a GREAT night belting it with Hayley Williams!!!
We were then treated to a performance from season 10 winner Scotty McCreery who performed his new song “Feelin’ It”. Scotty seemed SO much more relaxed and at home on stage. Great to see him back!!
Up next, was Alex getting his hometown welcome and it was just as emotional as Jena’s. Reuniting with his family and his band, and also finding out he would be performing alongside Jason Mraz in the finale! Perfect matching!!
Last but not least, Caleb Johnson!
Caleb may not have shed any tears, but his return was full of rock n’ roll! Checking out old stomping ground, goofing around with his brother and then the cherry on top?
Finding out he’s going to be performing with KISS on the finale!!!!
Oh, that’s going to be MAGICAL.
But who will be COMPETING in that finale? It was time to find out.

It is REALLY hard to say goodbye to Alex, but I am very happy with this top 2.
