Staff Writer Pitch Perfect 2 looks like it will be an aca-awesome sequel thanks to recent tweets from the cast.
It was confirmed yesterday that Skylar Astin’s character Jesse will return to sing more acapella covers and romance the spunky Beca. Cue the fangirl squealing!
Castmate Ben Platt, known as Jesse’s adorkable magician-singer roommate Benji, tweeted a picture of himself and Astin, adding: “What better way to spend my first day on set for #PitchPerfect2 than by doing a scene with my roomie @SkylarAstin.”

Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow will return for the sequel along with newcomer Hailee Steinfeld.
Although the plot has not yet been revealed, Entertainment Weekly reported that our favorite Treblemakers and Barden Bellas are graduating seniors.
