Staff Writer Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter of Mcfly have confirmed that they are dating each other.
Poynter was the first one to break the news on the first part of ITV’s Fearne and Mcbusted Documentary which aired last May 21. When asked about his relationship with Goulding, he had this to say to host Fearne Cotton “Yeah. All is good in that area,” and then he went on to add that he preferred not to discuss his love life.
Goulding meanwhile made the big reveal days later, on Alan Carr’s Chattyman, although it did require a little bit of prodding from the host. “Now the paper says you are (performs hand gesture) Dougie from McFly. Is this true?” Alan Carr asked the pop star , to which Goulding replied “Err, he’s my man friend. Boyfriend traditionally.” Carr then gleefully replied with “So that’s a yes then! Ahhhhh… Congratulations then. He’s lovely”, Goulding seemed to agree, since she responded with “He’s a very lovely human being.”
Rumours have been flying for months that the two are dating, ever since they were spotted in an NBA game looking cosy. Goulding previously dated actor Jeremy Irvine and DJ Skrillex, she was also linked to One Direction member Niall Horan and Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
