Trubies, the time is almost upon us. The painfully short (ten episodes) final season of HBO’s sexy, sultry Southern Vampire series, True Blood, shall make its bloody debut on June 22. And HBO has given us a poster that’s implications are almost too much to handle.

In the gorgeous poster, Sookie Stackhouse’s (Anna Paquin) profile is the only thing visible; and from her eyes stream tears of blood. Fans of the books and show know that this probably means that she goes vamp at some point, as their bloody tears have been a large focal point throughout the entire series.

This is a bit of a spoiler, so you read at your own risk, but the seventh season picks up with Bon Temps trying to survive the enraged vampires infected with Hep-V; and Sookie bearing the brunt of the blame for the state of the world.

Stephen Moyer, who plays Vampire Bill,  or Bill Compton, on the show (and who is also married to Anna Paquin) recently stated that he believes ending the show after Season 7 is the right decision. Well, Vampire Bill, I’m sorry to say that I must respectfully disagree.

There were so many fantastic story lines that could have been adapted from Charlaine Harris’ succulent Southern Vampire series. And yet they constantly changed the storyline and added even more unbelievable plots in its place. I know it’s profoundly unfair to compare books to movies/shows as they couldn’t possibly be more different; but it does anger me when plots are straight up changed. Obviously, they were pretty good the way they were intended, otherwise there would be no show at all.

But I digress. What do you think of the poster? Do you think Sookie will finally succumb to the creatures of the night and grow some fangs? Answer our poll questions below and let us know!
