In a twist of events that could be aptly described as “terrifying” and “reminiscent of the Titanic on a smaller scale,” the world-renowned, supposedly impregnable Skydeck at Chicago’s Willis Tower has cracked under pressure.
103 stories high and set dead above the bright lights of the Chicago cityscape, the Skydeck had always been a spectacle for the Willis Tower’s more adventurous tourists to take a step out on. When four average-sized males went out on the Skydeck to do just that, however, it had begun to crack – surprising as it had been built to withstand up to 5 tons!
Inexplicably, when alerted by the scared tourists about this predicament, staff members’ way around solving the issue was by merely tossing a carpet over the cracks and calling it a day. Supposedly, the cracks are only from a dried-out protective coating and not the actual super-glass itself. Still, what a scare!
