UK Sitcom Star Sue Johnston Set To Join Season 5 Cast Of “Downton Abbey”

Sue Johnston, most famous in the UK for her roles in The Royle Family and Coronation Street, is set to join ITV’s Downton Abbey.

The actress is signed up to play ‘Denker‘, a maid to Maggie Smith’s formidable Dowager Countess of Grantham.

Richard E. Grant, Anna Chancellor, and Rade Sherbedgia have also been announced as guest stars for series five of the hit show.

It is due to air in the UK in September.
