Microsoft effectively pulled what I’d like to call a “Metroid Prime Trilogy” maneuver during its E3 presentation today with the announcement of Halo: Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One!
As you might have guessed, this is a game collection featuring all currently-released iterations of Halo, but now they are totally reworked into a 1080p, 60 fps setting from the ground-up. Needless to say, a space shooter like Halo offers plenty of gorgeous moments that will be even more amazing to relieve in glorious high-definition.
For many Microsoft fans, Halo was the reason that they first became hooked to the Xbox series of consoles, and Master Chief in and of himself is a character pretty synonymous with the company nowadays. Henceforth, an extensive remake of this caliber makes sense and should be enticing gamers across the world as we speak.
A multiplayer beta download for Halo 5: Guardians will also be included with the release. It’s slated to be released this December—only a month after Master Chief Collection’s release on November 11!
That’s not all though, as Microsoft is also packing in all episodes of the Halo: Nightfall live-action series and 4,000 gamer score points. What’s the best part, you ask? It’ll be the same price as a single retail game: $59.99! Talk about a great deal.
