In a surprise announcement at Sony’s E3 press conference this Monday, the company unveiled the latest installment in their critically-acclaimed LittleBigPlanet series.
It’s aptly titled LittleBigPlanet 3 and, based on the trailer below, will invoke more Sackboy-induced charm into the series than ever before.
Sackboy isn’t the only little character making his big mark on the LittleBig series, however (forgive me for that terrible pun chain), as three new playable characters were revealed alongside him!
These guys go by the name of Toggle, Swoop, and Oddsock, and each one of them has their own unique abilities specific only to themselves. Toggle is pretty darn strong, being able to move heavier blocks than the others, whereas Swoop can fly and Oddsock can both run faster than the other characters and wall-jump, not unlike a certain mustachioed plumber!
How surprised were you to see LittleBigPlanet 3 at E3 at this year? Sony definitely didn’t give off any signs that they’d be unveiling it ahead of time, but it’s also one of their prime IPs in recent years. It was only a matter of time before it’d be announced, but either way, I’m looking forward to it!
