Jeremy Meeks is a wanted man on many levels. After his arrest on felony weapons charges on June 18th, the Stockton PD put his mug shot up on their Facebook page. It went viral shortly after.
Meeks, a 30-year-old convicted felon, is now a highly sought after commodity in the modelling world. Gangster models are hot right now, according to Blaze Modelz, and Meeks’ criminal violence and gang tattoos have been branded edgy and sexy.
His family has hired manager Gina Rodrigues of GR Media to handle the many offers that have begun to flood in. Not everyone is pleased by these developments, and Ms. Rodriguez has been receiving death threats since her name was published in connection with Meeks. Over 2 dozen anonymous threats have been delivered. They are being handled by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept.
Some question whether this is merely an attempt to maintain Meeks’ presence in the media to help keep the offers coming and bolster the prices, but Rodriguez stands by her client, saying she wants to secure some of the deals before he gets out so that he has a chance to change his life.
Meeks’ bail is currently set at $1.1 million. Rodriguez is trying to get the amount reduced so that her client can begin to take advantage of some of these offers.
