Well at least we can all take a step back and laugh about it now…well sort of!
In case you were unaware, or somehow avoided all forms of social media today, there was a firestorm that ripped through twitter in the form of a Chris Colfer tweet; a hacked tweet, that is. A hacker apparently got a hold of his twitter and proceeded to tweet, “Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly…”
Unsurprisingly, pandemonium ensued. Gladly almost as quickly as the rumor had broken Gleeks’ hearts, word got out via Chris’s manager that it was not Chris who tweeted it.
Whew, crisis averted. Of course, Chris Colfer never missed an opportunity to crack a joke and make light of a very sticky situation. Chris tweeted:
Apparently I missed quite the INTERESTING day while aboard my flight. I'm just glad I wasn't "killed by a fruit truck" again.

Needless to say he missed a total meltdown of epic proportions from nearly everyone remotely still attached to Glee.
Thank you, Chris, for being able to laugh at what was probably an irritating situation! Admit it; you might have shed a tear when you heard the news. It’s okay if you did because I can guarantee you were not alone! Glad to hear Chris is going to be a part of Glee’s 6th and final season.
