Ever since Gleeks found out that the 6th and final season of Glee will premier mid-season, early 2015, they have been on alert to see how many episodes will be ordered for the final installment.

Fans finally got their answer today when FOX announced that they have decided that Season 6 will be just 13 episodes long. This is a vast change from all other seasons that had 20 episodes or more.

The silver lining in only having 13 episodes is that all of the episodes will be uninterrupted. Meaning there will be no breaks in-between episodes like there have been in previous seasons. Fans started to speculate that the season was going to be shorter than usual when then FOX president stated, “We’re going to sit down and talk [to exec producer Ryan Murphy] about how to end the show and how many that is.”

While this is a shorted season, co-creator Ryan Murphy has said, “I’m sort of reinvigorated about it. It’s getting back to what I was initially interested in with the show, which was arts in school. The last season is really about the importance of arts education in our high schools… I think people will like it.”

Does this mean that Glee is going to go back to the show that we all fell in love with? Fingers crossed! Gleeks what do you think of the news?
