Last year the horror hit The Conjuring shocked audiences everywhere with a plethora of paranormal sequences and some untimely possession. While fans of the film have anxiously awaited the sequel, a surprising spin-off film was in development on a character who received little screen time, but managed to stick out in the minds of horror fans: Annabelle.
In The Conjuring, Annabelle was an extremely haunting doll that was off-limits to everyone. Annabelle was locked away after a previous paranormal investigation by Lorraine and Ed Warren, but, like many horror villains, you can’t keep them down (or locked in a glass case in this scenario).
The movie will delve into the mysteries of the Annabelle doll and presumably answer the many questions surrounding the mysterious doll, and for anyone left with Chucky-related nightmares, this isn’t the film for you! Watch the trailer for Annabelle, which creeps into theaters October 3rd.
