Cara Quici’s rise to stardom is moving quickly! Not only has she recently graced the cover of Maxim, she has also been cast in Roommates. Congratulations Cara!

This new (and very original) comedy is created by Brad Leo Lyon. Her character is a Barista named Rue who is “angry at the world.” Robert Z’Dar, David Lew Cooper, and Mackenzie Trevor will be joining Cara on the small screen. The first season of this show will air sometime in 2015.

“She’s an artist, not just a musician,” Brad Leo Lyon recently revealed. “Acting is a real passion for her and she takes it serious. She has been diligently training with classes and private instruction and it shows. ”

Lyon Productions, who green lit the series, plans to start filming in late August. While the show is funded, an Indie Go Go campaign was started to help pay for building “a new apartment set.” The campaign can be found right here – Roommates on Indie Go GO.

As to who Ms. Quici is, well her background is extensive! She’s guest starred in a variety of shows including The Real Housewives of New York City, Ryan Seacrest’s Momma’s Boys, and the Howard Stern Show on E! Entertainment. This young woman has even partaken in interviews with Andy Cohen and on Playboy TV.

Most notably is her remake of “Fight For Your Right (to Party)” by the Beastie Boys. Her music has also been featured on Southern Nights (a CMT original hit show). None of those songs have been released, though.

So, what are your thoughts about the new show? Will you check it out? Sound off below!
