Marilyn Burns, who shot to cult fame when she played Sally in the horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, was found dead in her Texas home today at the age of 65.
A rep for the actress said a family member found her, but there is no report of the cause of death at this time. Marilyn’s body is currently with the medical examiner’s office in Houston. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed.
Burns didn’t act very much following her cult classic role, although she did have cameos in both the 1994 and 2013 reboots.
Her character Sally was the last character standing at the end of the film, after escaping the clutches of Leatherface.
RIP Marilyn.
