Fans of Grey’s Anatomy are anxiously awaiting the upcoming 11th season. While many details about the show are scarce, the announcement that Davis will soon be scrubbing in is very exciting.

The Oscar Award winner will play a surgeon in the upcoming season. Things are hush hush right now, but we can tell you that she will take on a major role in a story arc covering several episodes of the show.

Unfortunately, we still have some time to wait as the upcoming season of Grey’s Anatomy won’t start until September 25th, 2014.
