Based on the novel by Joe Hill, Horns is a supernatural thriller driven by fantasy, mystery and romance. The film follows Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe), who is the number one suspect for the violent rape and murder of his girlfriend, Merrin (Juno Temple).
Ig wakes up hungover one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head. He soon realises their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their most selfish and unspeakable impulses. He uses his newly discovered paranormal abilities in his pursuit to uncover the real killer of his girlfriend.
Horns had its debut at Toronto Film Festival last September and thus far has received mixed reviews from critics and fans of the novel.
The first trailer for Horns was released four weeks ago and received some significant buzz due to Radcliffe’s popularity, but now we’re seeing new footage in the film’s second trailer and it’s looking more and more interesting.
With the expected release date around Halloween, it’s sure to be a top pick for cinema goers who want a supernatural thriller.
