Ugh. After such a beautiful moment, why does it have to be ruined!?
By now, everybody knows about Jesse Helt, the young homeless man who stepped onstage during the MTV VMA’s and accepted Miley Cyrus’ Video of the Year award.
What you don’t know is that Mr. Helt is actually wanted by Oregon police!!
When Jesse was 18 (he’s 22 now) back in 2010, he was arrested for criminal mischief, criminal trespass and burglary for which he pled guilty to. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail. The arrest warrant was issued November of 2011, when he violated his probation.
Now here we are on Wednesday, 3 days following the show.
Director of Community Corrections Martin Silbernagel revealed that they have been trying to locate Jesse as he has failed to show up for his meetings with his probation officer. Cops have spoken to Jesse’s family and have not discovered his whereabouts.
Going to have to wait and see what happens….
