The Crew Is “Playing With Monsters” On This Week’s Sons Of Anarchy

Sons of Anarchy is slowly building, and after last night’s episode, we’re all left to wonder exactly who will be left standing. Allow me to explain.

That REALLY answers Abel’s question to Grandma Gemma!!

Sons of Anarchy is slowly building, and after last night’s episode, we’re all left to wonder exactly who will be left standing.

Allow me to explain.

Not only has Jax burned bridges with another charter (inadvertently) but he’s also escalated an upcoming war between EVERY SINGLE FACTION.

Chinese, Mayans, One Niners…

And now he’s screwing with August Marks!

Jax pushed forward his plan to eliminate all threats in the wake of receiving the false information about Tara’s death, and the only way yours truly sees this direction panning out?

Bloodbath.

Jax turned one faction on another and in the process has officially brought Nero back into the game. Watching Mr. Padilla fire off that machine gun gave yours truly goosebumps and I’m not sure if this is a good thing. Nero’s been dancing that line for the past few seasons, but now?

Oh, he’s over it.

While Jax continued to do bad things, Juice attempted to rectify his mistake. Just not the Tara mistake.

Upon using help from Unser, Juice managed to lure Chibbs to a diner and sat down with the very angry SAMCRO member and pleaded his case to return to the club. The plea fell on deaf ears, though, as Chibbs informed his former friend to turn a gun on himself, because there was no way they would welcome him back after spilling the truth to Nero last season. This was by far my favorite scene of the episode, because the tension was so thick, you could have cut it with a knife. Theo Rossi and Tommy Flanagan were incredible here, and it’s making things a lot more difficult.

Gemma, meanwhile, continues to dance her own line of sanity as she was almost caught talking to the ghost of Tara. Hearing her utter the words “Everything happened the way it was supposed to” was so chilling, because she truly believes that. The remorse is officially gone and it makes you wonder what else this woman is capable of.

One has to wonder exactly how long until one of Jax’s plans backfires in his face, because as of right now, SAMCRO is the only club that isn’t on another club’s shit list.

So, are we going to see Jax successfully pull off his master plan?

Uh, no.

What did you guys think of this episode?

SOME NOTES:

1. The throwaway part of the episode came in the form of the girl and her father. Watching Gemma stand by as Jax destroyed him was pretty telling of, not just her, but him as well.

2. Rat and Brooke? No thank you…

3. Chibbbs and Althea Jarry? Now THAT is interesting…

4. Speaking of Jarry, she took that bribe awfully fast and it makes you wonder exactly what her game plan is in all of this. Is she as straight and narrow a sheriff as she’s led us to believe?

5. Juice is out of options. Now what?
