Michael Jackson’s Thriller Video To Come in 3D Movie Form

Michael Jackson’s legacy still lives on. The King of Pop’s fans are in for a real treat. Jackson’s single “Thriller, will be re-released in 3D in 2015.

Michael Jackson might have been dead for 5 years now but his legacy still lives on. The King of Pop’s fans are in for a real treat coming sometime in 2015. “Thriller”, one of his most successful tracks ever, is going to have its accompanying music video re-released in 3D.

The director of the iconic visual, John Landis, has confirmed that a three-dimension version of the clip is actually in the works. After long conflicts and debates between him and Jackson’s estate, the two parties have settled and the project could now be prepared to see the light of day. A Blu-Ray release of the 14-minute music video is definitely planned. However, the new version could also end up on the big screen as well, with a possible theatrical release discussed. According to sources, the release is actually what Michael Jackson himself wanted for the clip and intended to include it in his This Is It show.

“Thriller” served as the seventh single to be lifted from Michael Jackson’s studio album of the same name. The music video had a massive cultural impact, being the most expensive one of its time and another iconic feature in the artist’s long back catalog.

Are you excited for the 3D version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”? For the time being, take a look at the regular one.
