J.K. Rowling Adds Finishing Touches To ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Script

Harry Potter fans rejoice as J.K. Rowling adds the final touches to the “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” script.

Well, it turns out J.K. Rowling knew where to find them.

J.K. Rowling, the writer near and dear to all our hearts for bringing us the wonderful world of Harry Potter, is hitting headlines and tugging at nostalgic heartstrings again as speculation is rife that she is close to finishing the script for the upcoming Spin-off from the Harry Potter series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Rowling has been busy during the last few years, cultivating the Harry Potter fan-site Pottermore and writing a series of Adult novels to follow on from her young adult sensations.  Last year it was announced that she would also be working on the script and producing an adaptation of her book Fantastic Beats and Where to find them, a novella she wrote in 2001 for charity which was a part of the Harry Potter universe, which is often referenced in the series itself.

Isn’t she a busy bee?

Rowling tweeted earlier that she is making tweaks to a screenplay, which means good things for the movie.

It should also be noted that Rowling is a machine. How can one person do so much at once?

The mind boggles.

The project is two years away from hitting our screens, but every little update is joy to a fans ears.

Previously, it was announced that the feature would be directed by David Yates, the man responsible for directing Harry Potter five through to 7 parts i and ii (Rowling also produced the final two films in the Harry Potter franchise, and they were fantastic, so they must have decided that the dream team should remain in action.) There is also speculation that Fantastic Beasts will be a trilogy, although that has yet to be confirmed.

But with a script on the way and a director attached, it looks like a promising start for the fledgling feature.

Now to casting speculations (the cause near and dear to all out fan girl and boy hearts):

Who do you think should play Newt Scamandar, the films protagonist?

I’m rooting for the 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, Andrew Lee Potts, Jeremy Irvine or (if they decide to go for an older gent) Anthony Head or Michael Sheen.

Oh, all this speculation is making my heart all a flutter.
