Thomas Eric Duncan was the first patient ever to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States. With extreme measures taken to make sure the hospital was a safe place for both him and everyone else, he unfortunately still passed away.
The doctors made every effort to treat his symptoms, even making use of experimental medicine. However, they were previously afraid of that kind of treatment, since it could make it all worse for him. Despite their endeavors, Thomas Eric Duncan did not make it, with him dying on Wednesday.
The patient was treated at a hospital in Dallas, Texas. Duncan was admitted to the hospital in late September. He was first assumed to be infected with Ebola, with his symptoms being the only indication. He was later examined and found out to be positive for the virus.
