Ever since Gotham premiered, the series turned out to be a hit for Fox. Not only has the show been doing well in ratings, but the buzz around it has also been amazing. Consequently, it only seems normal that Fox ordered another 6 episodes for a complete first season.
Currently, Gotham holds the position of Monday’s top-rated drama and its premiere season now consists of 22 episodes. As the story of darkness rising in the city unfolds, more villains are unveiled and new adventures begin for detective James Gordon. As if his everyday life in the Batman prequel was not interesting enough, it’s exciting to see where a full season will take him.
It was only wise of Fox to give Gotham the green light for more episodes in only its first season. After all, not only is it popular among fans, but it is also the only show of the network that has made a significant impact this fall. The rest of the channel’s new shows did not even manage to get close to its heights.
The television adaptation of the well-known DC comic books serves only as the third series to receive a full season order, along with ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder and Black-ish.
