‘Fantastic Beasts’ Will Be A Movie Trilogy

NULL

Potterheads, have we got some delectable news for you! As most (if not all) Harry Potter fans know, there will be a film adaptation of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Not only will there be one movie, but Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara stated that there will be “at least [a] trilogy” of them.

Penned by J.K. Rowling herself, the first film will be released sometime in 2016. The second and third movies will be out in 2018 and 2020, respectively. A film every 2 years! These dates come on the helm of the Tweeted riddles Rowling posted earlier this month.

Wall Street Journal reporter, Ben Fritz, released the news via Twitter:

He did not divulge any other news pertaining to this magical universe. Instead, he chose to switch to topics of superheroes and superheroines, Legos, and film economics, among other things.

However, there is speculation the final film could be split into two parts. This is a trend that began with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, “which was divided into two films, released in 2010 and 2011.” Many other movies series have done the same (including Twilight, The Hunger Games, and The Hobbit).

So what are your thoughts about this news? Are you excited for more films based in Harry Potter’s wizarding world? Sound off below!
