The upcoming issue of V Jump is announcing the inclusion of Hikari (or Kari) in the previously announced Digimon sequel series, with a character outline for the digidestined. The silhouette of Kari is shown alongside her older brother Tai, known as the courageous leader of the beloved anime series. The issue also suggests that more details regarding the next Digimon will be released in the next issue of the magazine according to AnimeNewsNetwork.

Kari was introduced further into the first season as the eight digidestined with her partner Gatomon (both my favorites of the group.) The memorable series was confirmed to receive its sequel series back in August, with Tai’s and Agumon’s basic character silhouette released in September.

I was hopeful that Kari would still be included in the newest incarnation of Digimon, and my wish has seemingly been granted! Hopefully in the coming weeks we will see more actual detailed artwork, but if it means more time to ensure everything is perfect, I suppose I can be a little more patient.
