The brownstone featured in “ Breakfast at Tiffany’s ,” staring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard is on the market for $8 million.
After a recent 20 percent price cut, which on $8 million equals $2,000,000, the four bedroom townhouse that sits near the Upper East Side is available to anyone with the budget to make the $70,000 dollar a month mortgage payments.
Although, the classic Hepburn romantic comedy used a studio for interior shots, Asher Alcobi of Peter* Ashe Real Estate, the home’s exclusive broker says “The signature olive green doors are still the same.” In front of these doors, Hepburn and Peppard stood on the front steps in a classic scene from the film. The only things missing are some puffy window covers and flower bushes. Even the neighboring house looks relatively the same.
The house was featured on all street shots.
The 3,800-square-foot brownstone has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a sweeping staircase, front library and an enclosed greenhouse.
The house last sold for $5.975 million in April 2012 but has undergone some renovations since then.
