After recently coming off a successful seven-season run of The Closer, Kyra Sedgwick is returning to television. This time, she’s taking on the world of comedy.
The untitled HBO show is being created by Kari Lizer. Lizer is also the creator of the hugely successful CBS sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine. Lizer and Sedgwick will be serving as executive producers, with Sedgwick also starring in the lead role.
The show will be centered around a Catholic nun who decides to leave the church. It will follow her as she ventures into the world as an ex-nun.
No other details are available, but we can probably expect to see this show premiere around the end of next year or early 2016.
