Authorities in New Zealand have arrested AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd on a list of charges including drug possession, threatening to kill, and attempting to procure murder.

Rudd was arrested after police raided his home in Tauranga on the morning of Nov. 5. Rudd appeared in court later that day where he entered no plea and was released on bail. Rudd was ordered to stay in Tauranga and not contact anyone involved in the attempted murder plot.

Rudd allegedly attempted to hire a hit man to kill two men in September of this year. Police have not revealed the identities of the intended targets or the hit man. The 60-year-old Rudd will return to court on Nov. 27.

Rudd played with AC/DC from 1974-1983, then returned to the band from 1994 to the present.

Rudd was not included in several recent photo and video shoots for AC/DC’s forthcoming album Rock or Bust.

Singer Brian Johnson attributed Rudd’s absence from the shoots to “a family emergency.”

As of Thursday morning, there has been no official statement from AC/DC regarding Rudd’s arrest.

Rock or Bust is scheduled to be released on Nov. 23.
