The first The Divergent Series: Insurgent teaser trailer has debuted- and you can now watch it below!
In what is a short, yet thrilling clip, we catch a glimpse of what we can hope the film will be- a daring and adventurous adaptation of the book itself.
Although the trailer does not hint on the plot of the film, viewers are put on the edges of their seat as they’re plunged into a world where we see Shailene Woodley’s character, Tris Prior, donning a swanky new haircut, and setting off trying to save her mother who stands in an Abnegation house set afire. In what is probably a dream sequence, Tris goes from running after the house which seems to floating on air, to jumping off buildings, catching onto a cable which hangs off the house and finally lifting herself up and, finally, plunging straight into the house after her mother, fire or no fire.
By the looks of the trailer, it’s now easy to expect a film which is equally as epic, and will, by the numbers Divergent took it, be equally, if not more, successful.
