Hello Governor! David Morrissey Creates Production Company

David Morrissey is known as The Walking Dead’s Governor but he’s put acting to the side for now, to start his own production group.

David Morrissey got everyone’s attention thanks to his role as the Governor in The Walking Dead. He wasn’t really well-liked back then on the show, but things have been working out just fine for him in real life. Reportedly, the actor has now teamed up with others to create a production company: On The Corner.

The team will be producing projects for both the big and the small screen, whether there’s a script involved or not. Reportedly, On The Corner is already behind a biopic for the late Amy Winehouse! You can tell David Morrissey is excited for his new occupation, but who wouldn’t be? In his own words:

“I have been working as an actor and director for over 30 years and have always been fascinated by all aspects and stages of the industry. Therefore it was a natural progression for me to become involved with the creation of drama from its concept to delivery and beyond. Jolyon and I have worked together since we made a short film called Something For The Weekend in 1995 with the aim of making distinctive and quality drama. And that’s a vision shared by James and Asif.”

There is no doubt regarding David Morrissey’s talent in acting, and his part in The Walking Dead was enough to prove that. Hopefully, he makes the best out of this new chapter in his life. Congratulations, Governor!
