According to PageSix, NBC has announced its upcoming Michael Buble Christmas special, ‘Michael Buble’s Christmas in New York‘ will feature music’s biggest superstar of the moment Ariana Grande as well as the legendary, and iconic Barbra Streisand!
Producer Bill Bracken said:
“I booked it. There’s no bigger young star today than Ariana Grande. We’ve had a good relationship with her and flew to Vancouver, where she was performing, to organize this. She gets a bad rap as being difficult. She’s not. She’s great.
“Came on time. Brought her own costumes — white short skirt and top for the solo, red dress for the duet. Was prepared. Rehearsed. Two songs with Bublé. Blocked the duet with a 30-piece orchestra, performed 10 minutes after arriving — and out in an hour.
“This was three months in planning. We shot at Radio City. Working around the Rockettes, rehearsal schedule, we came in 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. and worked all night on a weekend. Loaded in our sets Friday. Shot Saturday and Sunday.
“Streisand’s done a duet with Bublé on an album. It’s a great guest list.”
He talks about Grande like she’s some icon already…
