Kelly Clarkson released her first ever festive studio album, Wrapped In Red, last year. Even though fans would revisit the record for their holiday playlists anyway, the songstress made sure it wasn’t left out by premiering a music video for the title track.
Wrapped In Red was re-released this year, with the addition of a special DVD. In support of the festive project, the former American Idol winner filmed the visuals for the tune of the same title. The clip finds Kelly Clarkson simply performing the track behind her mic, while looking all kinds of beautiful in a very festive set. In between, there are vintage kind of scenes with the joy of Christmas all around. There’s family, snow, decoration and presents all at once.
“Wrapped In Red” the song serves only as the second track to be lifted from the Christmas collection, coming only after last year’s “Underneath The Tree”. It’s good that they’re bringing the record back for another round a year later, but it’d be better if the video didn’t have such a low budget and was more of a spectacle. Kelly Clarkson will have holiday sales in favor of her anyway though, so let’s just take a look at the music video below.
