Jordin Sparks Drops #ByeFelicia Mixtape, Slams Jason Derulo In New Song

Jordin Sparks has gone and dropped a brand-new mixtape, #ByeFelicia, and she slams Jason Derulo in one of the songs!

Jordin Sparks has been away from the spotlight since she last released a studio album back in 2009. We’ve been hearing about her mostly thanks to her relationship with Jason Derulo, which recently came to an end. The songstress won’t seem to be keeping it all inside though, since she released a brand-new mixtape, #ByeFelicia, and bashed her ex in one of the tracks.

It’s true that her sound for this release is much different from the one she’s got us used to. According to her statements, she’s been deeply involved with all nine tracks of the tracklist. In her own words:

“There’s a little part of me in every single track. But because it’s been so long and because I’ve been working so long, it has been kind of like a perfectionist mentality. Life is too short. This stuff is great. I feel good about it. I’m confident in it, I love what it’s saying, and I think people will be able to relate to that.”

The remix of Drake’s “How Bout Now” arrived as the first offering from the set. In this one, Jordin Sparks takes aim at Jason Derulo, her former lover, and if the lyrics are anything to judge from, they didn’t split in good terms. The songstress goes as far as to address the incident of his broken neck, letting him know that he “sucks” at this point. She’s really going all-in for that one!

#ByeFelicia is the first effort coming from Jordin Sparks since 2009’s amazing Battlefield. Brought forward by L.A. Leakers, you can take a listen and download the mixtape below. It’s definitely worth it!
