It’s been known for a while that George Clooney would guest star in a Downtown Abbey special episode and the time has finally arrived. As days go by and the airing of the Text Santa special comes closer, there’s now a first look at the actor’s appearance in the show.
The charity special of Downtown Abbey that will air on ITV along with Text Santa will feature George Clooney’s cameo. Even though we don’t know much about his role, we do know that it was filmed over at Highclere Castle and it could involve some intimate moments between the actor’s character and Dowager Countess. The unleashed clip only gives a first look at his part, as it shows Lady Grantham’s meeting with him.
Text Santa will air at 8 p.m. on December 19, but it has yet to be revealed at which point of its 3-hour-long run we’ll get to see the entire Downtown Abbey scene. If anything, it’s definitely something to look forward to and one of the most interesting cameos to happen lately. For the time being, take a short glimpse at George Clooney’s appearance below.
