Divergent was one of the most buzzed young-adult, science fiction films released last year. As a book adaptation, it’s on to have quite a few sequels and the second one, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, now has its full-length trailer unleashed.
With Tris and Four taking down Erudite’s head-bitch-in-charge in the first film, the two of them have to run for their lives in Insurgent. A brand-new adventure begins, as the pair and the ones following them realise they can’t keep running forever and decide to fight the officials back. However, Tris is not just a regular divergent but a very special one, which soon finds her getting captured and being tested in labs.
Insurgent will have Shailene Woodley and Theo James reprising their roles as Tris and Four, while Kate Winslet will once again play the villain. Their performances will be surrounded by those of Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, Naomi Watts, Jai Courtney, Ray Stevenson, Zoë Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Daniel Dae Kim and Octavia Spencer. Robert Schwentke directed the film, taking from a script written by Brian Duffield, Akiva Goldsman and Mark Bomback.
The Divergent Series: Insurgent is scheduled to open in theaters on March 20, 2015. For now, take a look at the brand-new trailer below.
