The hackers who attacked Sony really don’t seem to be stopping with leaking new emails and documents. Among others, private discussions of the company’s executives included negotiations for Spider-Man to make an appearance in the next Captain America film.

Head bitch in charge of Sony, Amy Pascal, did have a couple of talks about giving Marvel the permission to make use of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. It was even further suggested that Marvel could be given rights to the superhero back, as long as they produced another trilogy that would be distributed and marketed by Sony. An upcoming Lego-inspired animated Spider-Man film is also in the works.

After reading all the emails, it was revealed that the team-up plans between the two companies’ Spider-Man and Captain America didn’t actually come true. With negotiations not ending up in a deal, Sony decided to move forward withThe Amazing Spider-Man film series on their own, along with the accompanying Sinister Six and Venom movies. It is really a shame thoguh, as it would have been one hell of a crossover indeed.
