Sam Smith has been one of the most promising newcomers to the scene and after a series of successful singles, stopping doesn’t seem to be an option for him. With “Like I Can” currently out there, the crooner has gone and premiered its music video.
The retro, black and white visuals for the track find Sam Smith suiting up and taking over the streets of New York. He’s accompanied by an horde of similarly dressed gentlemen and they all seem to be having a great time, after some kind of special occasion, we assume. Walking around and meeting various people, enjoying a meal and having a few drinks are just some of the activities they take over. It’s a rather enjoyable clip overall and the ones in it seem to have enjoyed filming it as well.
“Like I Can” is the fifth offering to be lifted from Sam Smith’s debut studio album, In The Lonely Hour. The track was only released as a single earlier this month, on December 7. It serves as a follow-up to “Lay Me Down”, “Money On My Mind”, “Stay With Me” and “I’m Not The Only One”.
