Mark Ruffalo may have been unable to attend the SAG Awards this year, but luckily for him, his wife and children woke him up to tell him the good news, that he had won!

Ruffalo won ‘Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries’ for The Normal Heart for his portrayal of Ned Weeks, beating out the other great nominations, Adrien Brody inHoudini, Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock: His Last Vow, Richard Jenkins in Olive Kitteridge, and Billy Bob Thornton in Fargo.

Once awake, Ruffalo tweeted out an acceptance speech:

Co-star Julia Roberts also gave Ruffalo a shoutout before awarding the Outstanding Male Actor in a Leading Role, saying, “Good evening. They had a wordy little tongue twister for me to start with about how fabulous actors are, but instead, I just want to say, Mark Ruffalo is one outstanding actor. I am so absolutely tickled to my toes that he won tonight. He wasn’t here. Waiting for that Nor’easter.”

Roberts was nominated for ‘Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries’, but lost to Frances McDormand.
